2007 Aviation Fun Day
Lafayette Regional Airport hosted its 18th annual
"Aviation Fun Day" on Saturday, October 20, 2007.
The day was filled with activities and excitement, as the
children participated in games, toy glider airplane
races, fire department demonstrations,
pictures, lots of prizes, refreshments
and music.

Aviation Day Activities
Space is limited for tours and reservations are required.

Location: From Surrey Street, turn on Blue Blvd. (airport's main
entrance) and follow the signs.
Event Time: 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Visual presentation of crash rescue gear worn by
airport fire
department
Children’s Activity Table
Drawing and coloring of aircraft pictures
(winners will be chosen)
Runway/Taxiway Tour
Ride air-conditioned bus out to airfield and have the
opportunity to walk on the runway
Airport Fire Department
Simulated emergency call-out drill and demonstration of rescue
vehicle
Airport Tenants / Ramp Tour
Driving tour and explanation of the businesses
operating at the airport.
Aircraft Display
View aircraft on display.
Games / Prizes / Fun / Refreshments
Coloring Contest
Refreshments served and lots of door prizes!
Oh, it’s all FREE!
Open to ages 5 and up.
